UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Kelsey Bone had 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to help the Connecticut Sun beat the San Antonio Stars 82-51 on Tuesday night for coach Anne Donovan’s 200th career victory in the league.
Donovan, a former Storm coach, is the first woman — and fourth coach overall — to reach the milestone. Van Chancellor, Mike Thibault and Dan Hughes are the other coaches to win at least 200 games.
Donovan, 53, guided the Storm from 2003 to 2007 and had a 93-77 record. In 2004, she became the first woman to coach a WNBA-championship team.
