Andrew Andrews, in his final regular-season home game, scores 47 points, the second-most in UW history, to lift the Huskies to a 99-91 victory over Washington State on Wednesday night.
Andrew Andrews, the only senior on the Washington men’s basketball team, never wanted this season to be about him and his quest to reach his first NCAA tournament.
And yet, he put an inedible stamp on the season with a handful of clutch outings and a record-setting scoring performance that puts him among the all-time Husky greats.
“I’ve always been — every year — just tuned into the season,” Andrews said.
