There are plenty of names to choose from, so let’s just dive into the top five potential Huskies could lead the defense in sacks:
DL Isaiah Ward
The Arizona transfer is at this point - along with Voi Tunuufi - the most proven pass rusher on the team. As a redshirt freshman last season, he tallied 30 total tackles, with 4 sacks and 5 TFLs. He’s a very bendy and speedy outside rusher who can use his quickness to get around the edge. He’s been lining up with the first team for most of fall camp so he should have plenty of opportunities, despite weighing just shy of 230 pounds (he says he has a goal weight of 240 by the time the season starts).
