A house fire in Seattle’s Maple Leaf neighborhood Thursday morning that damaged six structures and caused a loss of $2.5 million is believed to be arson, according to a tweet by the Seattle Fire Department.
About 100 firefighters were on scene for the fire that shot flames as high as 60 feet. The fire started around 3 a.m. in a home still under construction.
The intense heat from the fire blew out five windows of a school across the street and damaged two nearby cars.
