1 dead after fiery crash Friday morning

Seattle police are investigating a serious rollover collision that left at least one person dead in South Seattle early Friday morning.

A car was heading south on Rainier Avenue South when it went off the road near South 116th Street, flipped several times and hit a utility pole, according to reports from KIRO-TV.

Downed power lines started a fire that nearly spread to a nearby home, but it was extinguished, KIRO reported.

The King County coroner arrived around 5 a.m. and covered a body with a tarp, according to KIRO.
