Jay Gruden announced the decision to his team Monday morning, according to several reports.

With Cousins now the starter, Griffin's future with the Redskins is in doubt. The Redskins could try to trade him to several teams.
Cousins saw action in six games last season, completing 62 percent of his passes for 1,710 yards. He threw 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Colt McCoy is the other QB currently on the Redskins' roster.
