RICHMOND, Va. -- The Washington Redskins defensive line lacks a sure-fire Pro Bowler, but what they like is their depth. And part of the reason is veteran lineman Ziggy Hood.
He was signed shortly after the season ended and he’s coming off some tough seasons. But Hood, a former first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009, has been a pleasant surprise for Washington in camp. That was evident again Tuesday, when he continued to look sharp during one-on-one work, driving into guard Spencer Long’s pads and moving him back and easily getting around center Austin Reiter.
