The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program on Monday to kick off the holiday season by building hundreds of bikes.
The WRCF — along with Redskins linebacker Houston Bates and safety Kyshoen Jarrett, fresh off a big victory over the New York Giants — joined the Marine Corps Toys for Tots team at the Prince George’s County Police Department to assemble more than two hundred children’s bicycles that will be delivered to families in need later this month.
“You know, with the platform that we have, they [kids] look up to us, the kids do, and we can make an impact on children’s lives especially around the holidays,” Bates said in a short break from his duties along the assembly line.
