RICHMOND – The civil lawsuit that a woman leveled against linebacker Junior Galette, accusing him of physical and mental abuse, has been dismissed, according to the Times-Picayune.
The suit was dismissed because the woman failed to hire a new lawyer, or appear in court, according to an ESPN report.
Following the dismissal of the suit, Galette’s attorney, Ralph Whalen released a statement that reads, “From day one, we have been confident this suit would be swiftly dismissed. The suit came only after we rejected her former lawyer’s offer to pay her millions of dollars in exchange for not filing this baseless suit.
