Will Compton made a difference. I’m not going to anoint him as a defensive savior or anything like that, but he was solid and definitely helped. Compton replaced Keenan Robinson and, in that role, he’s the defensive mouthpiece, which is why you saw him gesturing and shouting instructions at time. Compton is a take-charge guy so this role suits him -- and there's a sense he can help Perry Riley, Jr., on the field. He also plays with passion; just talk to him a little about football and it’s incredible.
