The backups have taken over at inside linebacker. What was once a position occupied by Perry Riley Jr. and Keenan Robinson earlier in year now doesn’t have either player in the starting lineup. Riley continues to recover from surgery in his right foot, and he’s expected to miss another two to five weeks based on the initial prognosis last week.
Robinson expects to practice again on Thursday despite a lingering issue in his right shoulder. He was a limited participant throughout practice last week, but Robinson did not play for his fourth straight game on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.
