ASHBURN — Washington Redskins inside linebacker Will Compton had an MRI examination on his neck after sustaining a “stinger” in Sunday’s 35-25 win against the Buffalo Bills, but coach Jay Gruden said the results were negative.
Compton played 59 of 67 defensive snaps and did not return after leaving the game in the fourth quarter. Compton was also dealing with a shoulder sprain from last week’s win against the Chicago Bears.
Free safety Dashon Goldson also fractured a rib against the Bills, but he only missed one snap.
“It’s going to be painful for him, but he’s the type of guy that will do whatever to get on the field,” Gruden said.
