Who’s Going to Back Up the Commanders’ Offensive Line? Preseason Week 2

The Commanders headed to Miami for the second preseason game with more questions than answers along the offensive line depth chart. In an action-packed slugfest, new flickers of hope emerged while others burned brighter and a few might have faded.

Most importantly, the OL depth players put more blocking reps on film to give the coaching staff more material to analyze. And more reps means bigger sample sizes to make blocking metrics more reliable. The players who have seen the most preseason action have now logged over 50 pass blocking snaps, which is almost half way to being just barely big enough for meaningful statistical analysis.
