At the moment, the Washington Redskins are in possession of the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The pick was earned after a long season of performing poorly en route to a 3-13 season.
With the selection, it’s heavily favored that the Redskins will select Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young. He’s the best defensive player in the draft and arguably is the best overall player. He’d upgrade the team’s already strong defensive front and could elevate the front seven to top-tier status.
That said, nothing in the draft is a foregone conclusion. The Redskins well may take Young, but they also could explore trading down.
