LANDOVER, Md., -- Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III exited the same way he did after every other home game this season: quietly. But unlike those other times, he does so not knowing who he'll be with for his next game.
Griffin’s contract is up and, after being inactive for 16 of the Redskins’ 17 games this season, he’s clearly not in their plans. The Redskins will need to cut Griffin or pay him the $16.2 million option they picked up for 2016. They have until March 9 to release him.
