The Washington Football Team made a few minor moves today. The 2020 COVID-19 practice squad rules allow for teams to have 16 players, add up to 6 veterans, and also protect up to 4 players from being poached. Washington officially protect three players in the first week of the season. Wide receiver Cam Sims, offensive linemen Joshua Garnett, and safety Jeremy Reaves all made the list, but for some reason the team only protected three players this week.
NFL teams each week can protect up to four on the 16-player practice squad from poaching by other teams.
