The Washington Redskins came into the offseason with a clear need for depth on the offensive line. After injuries decimated their starting lineup in 2017, the world was invited to witness the crumbling of a once-dominant unit. Players such as Arie Kouandjio and Tyler Catalina struggled with increased snaps. In 2018, they could improve. But it would be unwise to bet your hard-earned funds on that.
The Washington Redskins need to find some insurance if injuries are to strike again, and perhaps even more important, they need to retain the depth that they already have. Today, ahead of the start of offseason workouts, they took a step toward doing that.
