Since the start of free agency, the market for veteran tight end Vernon Davis has been ice cold. The only interested party has been the Washington Redskins, a team that is far from needy at the position. Still, despite the overall lack of interest in the aging Davis, Redskins GM Scot McCloughan insists he’s on the team’s radar.
Davis met with Washington two weeks ago, and McCloughan confirmed continued interest on Tuesday.
“He’s in great shape. He’s a football player and is one of those guys that has never really been injured because his genetics is so incredible,” McCloughan said.
