Prior to the start of NFL free agency, the Washington Redskins made the decision to retain No. 3 wide receiver Andre Roberts–at least for the time being. However, if GM Scot McCloughan is interested in getting the most bang for his buck, he’d be wise to cut the cord with Roberts and send him packing.
Roberts was signed in 2014 to be the Redskins’ No. 2 receiver after a breakout season with the Arizona Cardinals. Then, not long after he put pen to paper, Washington went out and added DeSean Jackson to the roster as well, effectively pushing Roberts to third on the depth chart and minimizing his role in the offense.
