Earlier in the offseason, it was reported that Arie Kouandjio, a starting candidate for the Washington Redskins’ left guard position, had suffered a partially torn quad tendon in offseason drills.
At first, it was reported that Kouandjio would be lost for the 2018 season, but soon after, there was hope that surgery could salvage the injury and help Kouandjio return at an earlier day. His surgery was successful, but the outlook on his injury is still grim. He has officially been ruled out for the 2018 regular season.
Redskins guard Arie Kouandjio will indeed miss the season, per multiple sources, after surgery to repair his torn quad muscle.
