The Washington Redskins took running back Matt Jones in the third round of this year’s draft, despite not having an obvious need at the position. The rookie captured a lot of buzz during the offseason, with Redskins’ head coach Jay Gruden even suggesting he could cut into Alfred Morris‘ workload, but entering training camp Jones is the favorite to be No. 2 on the depth chart.
With over 1,000 rushing yards and at least 265 carries in each of his first three seasons, Morris has become one of the most consistent and durable running backs in the league.
