When the Washington Football Team landed Bryce Love in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, there was some reason for excitement. Though the Stanford product was coming off an ACL tear, he had once been considered a potential first-round prospect and a top challenger for the Heisman Trophy.
The plan was to bring Love along slowly and hope that he could emerge as a part of a great one-two punch in the backfield along with Derrius Guice.
But as is often the case in the NFL, things don’t work out as planned.
