Last offseason, the Washington Football Team brought in a lot of veterans to compete for back-end roster spots and practice squad opportunities on the offensive line. This year, it appears that they are set to do the same.
According to the team’s official Twitter account, Washington claimed offensive guard Beau Benzschawel off waivers from the Houston Texans. Benzschawel went undrafted in 2019 out of Wisconsin and has also spent time with the Detroit Lions.
Benzschawel was a consensus All-American during his final season with the Badgers and with a 6-foot-6 frame and long arms, some thought that he would have starting potential at the NFL level.
