The Washington Commanders have announced a few roster moves this morning. They are placing rookie RB Chris Rodriguez, Jr. on injured reserve. He injured his ankle during Sunday’s loss to the New York Jets. He was seen after the game wearing a boot, and did not practice with the team yesterday.
Rodriguez had been Washingtons #3 RB this season, but got more opportunities the last two weeks with starter Brian Robinson out with a hamstring injury. Robinson returned to practice yesterday, but was limited to individual drills. Washington still has #2 RB Antonio Gibson, and he would get the start if Robinson isn’t ready for Sunday’s home game against the San Francisco 49ers.
