The Washington Commanders will have the rookies in Ashburn on Friday to start rookie mini-camp. The players have arrived, and that means they’re going to need jersey numbers as they enter the NFL. Many teams have already released their rookie numbers, and Washington made a few announcements, including a deal between rookie QB Jayden Daniels and team captain Tress Way for the #5 jersey.
Adam Schefter reports that Way didn’t want any money for the jersey number, Way requested to have a family trip to an Oklahoma vs LSU football game after he retires. Way played for Oklahoma, and wants that “rivalry” game with LSU from the current Heisman Trophy winner.
