Trenton Robinson’s season concluded last week when he was waived, then placed on injured reserve over the weekend, by the Washington Redskins. The fourth-year safety called it a disappointing end to a year in which he noticed progress.
Robinson re-tweaked his hamstring during individual drills last Thursday, forcing him to miss the rest of the season. He played nine games this year, receiving a career-high seven starts after Duke Ihenacho was placed on injured reserve because of a left wrist that was fractured and dislocated during the season opener.
“I probably shouldn’t have been going so hard at the time,” Robinson said.
