Safety Trenton Robinson went unclaimed after getting waived/injured Friday because of a strained hamstring. As a result, he now has reverted to the Washington Redskins’ injured reserve list.
A fourth-year veteran, Robinson started a career-high seven games this season, and appeared in two others. He took over as the starting strong safety after Duke Ihenacho was lost for the season with a dislocated left wrist in the first game of the year.
Robinson recorded 52 tackles and an interception in nine games this season. However, Robinson got bumped from the lineup in favor of Jeron Johnson in Week 10 and was relegated to special teams duty against the Saints.
