Trent Williams, Redskins agree to an extension

Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams signed a five-year extension with the team, he announced Saturday.

Williams‘ extension is worth $66 million, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

In a late afternoon tweet, Williams acknowledged the deal.

“Happy to announce I will be a redskin for the next 5 years. This is a dream come true HTTR 4 Life. #sbg”

Williams has been one of the few stable elements for the Redskins the last five years. Since being selected with the No. 4 pick in 2010 out of Oklahoma, Williams has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons.
