Trent Williams leaves game with knee injury and Alfred Morris re-injures ribs

CHARLOTTE — The Washington Redskins suffered a scare late in their blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers when left tackle Trent Williams had to be helped off the field with a knee injury and then rode a cart to the locker room for further examination. Meanwhile, running back Alfred Morris only lasted a handful of plays before aggravating a rib injury that he suffered last week.

Williams suffered what the team later learned was a contusion of his left knee cap.
