Training camp observations: Redskins battle slippery conditions

RICHMOND — Most of the Washington Redskins’ practice featured a steady rain, which made for slippery conditions at training camp on Monday.

For the most part, the players handled it well. There weren’t too many dropped passes, but at times it was difficult for some to keep their footing.

Tight end Jordan Reed didn’t seem to have any issue at all. During one play in the full team drill, Reed hauled in a one-handed catch, even though inside linebacker Perry Riley Jr. was tight in coverage. It was a strong throw from Kirk Cousins and an impressive catch from Reed, who was not wearing gloves.
