Top 32 Redskins of 2016 – David Bruton Jr.

Age: 28

2015 Ranking: NR

The safety positions for the Washington Redskins both needed more depth and talent for the 2016 season. Free safety Dashon Goldson was not re-signed and strong safety DeAngelo Hall has been tapped to replace Goldson at free. So David Bruton Jr. was targeted by the Redskins to come in and help fill the void at strong.

The Redskins signed the free agent to a 3-year, $9.1 million contract during the offseason. The Redskins also brought back Duke Ihenacho at strong safety but Bruton has been the choice of defensive coordinator Joe Barry so far at the top of the depth chart at the position.
