Washington had two players leave Monday's game that couldn't return due to injuries. The big one was starting rookie RB Antonio Gibson who suffered a foot injury on his second carry of the night. It was reported this morning that he has turf toe and his status for Sunday's game(and beyond) is up in the air. Gibson has been a huge part of Washington's offense, and has been improving weekly. This one hurt.
Washington only has two other running backs on the 53-man roster right now, J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber. The team tried to bring Bryce Love back from IR, but his knee wasn’t ready and he will remain there for the rest of the season.
