Miami Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel said they would be having one joint practice with the Washington Commanders before they play a preseason game. Washington is visiting Miami in the second week of the 3-week preseason. McDaniel also said the Dolphins would joint practices with their other preseason opponents, the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Commanders open the preseason with an away game vs another AFC East opponents, traveling to New Jersey to face the New York Jets.
