ASHBURN — Washington Redskins nose tackle Terrance Knighton completed a full practice on Wednesday after missing the game against the New England Patriots on Sunday because of headaches.
Knighton, who experiences cluster headaches — painful headaches located near the eyes — did not travel with the team to New England because of concerns surrounding the effect of flying, but thought he could have played if it were a home game.
“I just pray every morning, every night I’m pain free and hope the cycle goes away and allows me to play football,” Knighton said. “The past few weeks, I’ve been having them at home, been curled up basically trying to pull my hair out in tears.
