RICHMOND — Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Friday there is a chance Stacy McGee could miss the start of the season with the defensive lineman recovering from core muscle surgery.
McGee was placed on the team’s Physically Unable to Perform list to start camp. He missed most of OTAs after suffering a groin injury, which required surgery.
“We’ll wait and see,” Gruden said. “He’s doing a great job of working to get back into shape. A big body like that, it might take a little bit more time. But I can’t say because Stacy has had a couple of injuries in the past and has done a great job of rehabbing.
