ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins had hoped Kendall Reyes would be rejuvenated with a new team and provide help for a defensive line needing a boost. He did not, so the Redskins cut Reyes on Wednesday, a source confirmed to ESPN.
Reyes had signed a one-year deal worth up to $2.5 million in the spring, with $1 million guaranteed. He entered training camp as a starting right end, but lost his job to Ziggy Hood.
Reyes missed two of the four games this season because of a groin injury. He was part of the rotation when healthy.
