The NFL has suspended Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette for two games for his role in a January incident, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Galette already will miss the remainder of this season after suffering a torn Achilles in August.
Gallette was arrested and charged with misdemeanor simple batter/domestic violence in early January after a domestic incident at his home in Kenner, La. After an investigation, the charges were dropped in February.
The accuser, a 22-year-old woman, has filed a civil suit against Galette, alleging he sexually abused her for years and held her against her will.
