The Washington Redskins' defensive front did not have a strong start, so the Redskins are turning to a veteran for reinforcement.
One day after losing to Pittsburgh 38-16, the Redskins will re-sign veteran end Cullen Jenkins, a source confirmed. The signing was first reported by Scout.com.
The Redskins signed Jenkins last month, two days before their preseason finale at Tampa Bay. Jenkins appeared to play well in a rain-soaked game, but the Redskins released him in their final cuts.
It's uncertain yet who will be released to make room for Jenkins. The Redskins already have six defensive linemen and there was some thought to keeping seven before the season.
