The NFL has reinstated Washington Redskins safety Su'a Cravens, a league source told ESPN's Field Yates.
Cravens had applied for reinstatement off the reserve/left squad list.
He sat out the entire 2017 season after telling the Redskins in early September that he wanted to retire. At the time of his announcement, Cravens declined to provide insight into why he opted to step away but he did indicate a potential return: "Hopefully, around this time next year I'll be back on that field."
Whether or not he returns to Washington, however, remains a question.
