When the Washington Redskins drafted offensive tackle Brandon Scherff it was assumed that he would open up as the starting right tackle. But Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan says that Scherff will have to earn it.
Here’s some of what McCloughan had to say:
“The thing about it which is great, as soon as we drafted him everybody was like he’s going to be your starting right tackle, your starting right guard, no-no he’s got come in there and earn the job.”, said McCloughan.
McCloughan also went on to state that there’s a possibility that Brandon Scherff will move to guard if that’s the scenario to get the best five offensive linemen on the field.
