The Washington Redskins have two key injuries in the secondary to monitor during the offseason. One is ahead of schedule, the other is improving at a slower rate.
General manager Scot McCloughan said last week at the Senior Bowl that cornerback Chris Culliver is healing faster than expected after tearing ligaments in his right knee on Thanksgiving during practice.
Culliver was placed on injured reserve, missing the final six regular season contests and the team’s only playoff game, leaving the Redskins without their top free-agent acquisition last year.
“He’s working his tail off getting after it but always when you have injuries, especially at a skill position, it’s an ACL – it’s a movement part,” McCloughan said.
