ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan underwent surgery on his right hand Monday, but the team remains hopeful that he won't miss a game.
One source said after the game Sunday that Kerrigan might not miss any time, thanks in part to the bye week. Gruden reiterated Monday that Kerrigan might return after the bye week for Washington's Nov. 8 game at New England.
But Kerrigan must visit the surgeon again next week to determine his chances of facing the Patriots. Kerrigan hasn't missed a game since entering the NFL in 2011.
