Rookie Quinton Dunbar to see hand specialist for broken, dislocated finger

Cornerback Quinton Dunbar will see a hand specialist for the broken and dislocated index finger he sustained in the third quarter of Washington’s 20-14 win over the New York Giants on Sunday, Coach Jay Gruden said.

Dunbar injured his finger on a second-and-10 pass that he broke up in Giants territory with 4 minutes 28 seconds left on the third-quarter clock. The undrafted rookie cornerback initially jumped up and celebrated after swatting the ball away from Hakeem Nicks but then quickly ran to the bench, holding his left hand.

Dunbar said that the bone “was sticking out” and the finger was leaning to the left.
