Washington Redskins coach Ron Rivera had a “positive conversation” with left tackle Trent Williams as the team tries to defuse a situation that resulted in the Pro Bowler missing all of last season, according to a new report.
The NFL Network reported the Redskins have Williams “in their plans” for 2020, but there are a list of issues to sort through.
The seven-time Pro Bowler did not play last year after holding out due to being upset with Washington over the handling of a cancer diagnosis, as well as his contract. Williams returned midseason just before the trade deadline, but was placed on the season-ending “non football injury” list a week later.
