Robert Griffin III‘s father, Robert Griffin Jr. will be spending the next few weekends in a Virginia jail cell after attempting to fight a speeding ticket, according to the Washington Post.
A judge sentenced Robert Griffin Jr. Wednesday to 10 days in jail for driving 115 mph in 60 mph zone. The Redskins quarterback’s father was ticketed on eastbound I-64 near Hampton Roads Center Parkway at 6:15 a.m. on Aug. 2. He had pleaded not guilty to the charge of excessive speeding.
Griffin Jr. will be allowed to serve his jail time during the next few weekends, so he doesn’t have to miss work.
