The NFL trade deadline came and went on Tuesday without the Washington Redskins making a trade on their 53-man roster. This includes quarterback Robert Griffin III, who remains with the team following the 4 p.m. ET deadline.
The Redskins did not receive an offer for Griffin, the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. It was expected that Griffin would likely finish the season with the team despite his diminished role. After playing 37 games in his first three seasons, Griffin has been the Redskins’ third-string quarterback this year. He has been active just once through the team’s first seven games.
