ASHBURN, Va. -- The starter could change in a few days, or even after another game. For now, though, the Washington Redskins want to go with the hot hand at running back -- or, at least, the consistent one. And that means Robert Kelley, the one-time undrafted free agent, will take over for Matt Jones.
It’s the right decision.
The Redskins liked what Kelley did in his one start against Cincinnati, gaining 87 yards on 21 carries. The best part about Kelley’s game was the yards after contact and the consistency.
