ASHBURN — Redskins running back Rob Kelley could miss the next month with a toe injury, coach Jay Gruden said Monday.
Kelley suffered the injury in Sunday’s 21-9 loss to the Colts in the first half. He finished the game with one yard on one carry.
Gruden said surgery is possible and the team could place Kelley on injured reserve.
“It could be a month, month-and-a-half type deal,” Gruden said. “We’ll get the final word soon.”
This is the latest set back for Kelley, who was set to be the starter after Derrius Guice went down with a torn ACL, only for the Redskins to sign Adrian Peterson.
