Matt Jones is a very hard player to evaluate without seeing him in person. He was one of many running backs to rotate in and out of the lineup at Florida. Jones was the power back in the offense and led the team in carries with limited time in the lineup.
Jones also led the team with 817 yards rushing and averaged 4.9 yards per carry. He was used mostly as a blocker in the passing game. Jones caught only 11 passes during the 2014 season for only 65 yards.
