Evan Spencer is a unique case in that he may have been drafted higher in the 2015 NFL Draft had he attended a college with lesser talent than Ohio State. At OSU, he was sort of a fifth wheel. Spencer was the guy asked to do a lot of the “dirty work” such as blocking and playing special teams while stuck behind more talented players such as Devin Smith.
If Spencer had been on another team in the Big 10 or a different conference, we might of seen him excel when given the opportunity. He has good size and speed, while not elite, still better than the average NFL wide receiver at 6’1″ and 208 pounds with a 4.
